As a result, our Lovebird babies are only sold to those who have joined our waiting list, making each adoption a planned and anticipated event.

DNA Testing & Certification
We provide DNA testing from blood samples for all our birds, with a DNA Sexing Certificate handed to all our customers. This is crucial for identifying the sex of your Lovebird accurately, essential for those planning to keep more than one bird or avoid unintended breeding. It also contributes to understanding specific behavioral traits associated with the sex of the bird.
Lineage Proof
Most of our baby Lovebirds come with lineage proof, showcasing a few generations in our aviary, including parents and grandparents. This heritage documentation is a testament to the purity and health of the lineage, giving you confidence in the genetic health and quality of your Lovebird.
Birth Certificate & Leg Ring
Each of our Lovebird babies comes with an aluminium, laser-engraved, open leg ring, marking the bird’s identity, our credentials as the breeder, and the year of birth. Additionally, we provide a Birth Certificate for each bird, offering a personal touch and a record of its early life.
Purchase Contract
Our commitment extends to a Purchase Contract that includes health “guarantees” and outlines the resolution of potential issues new owners might face. This contract is a pledge of our responsibility towards the well-being of the birds we breed and a promise of quality to you, the new owner.
Comprehensive Support & Recommendations
We go beyond the initial purchase by offering recommendations on cages, toys, food, and more, ensuring your Lovebird has a smooth transition into its new home. Our relationship with our customers doesn’t end at the point of sale; we provide ongoing support and advice for as long as needed, with no time limit. Our Babies
At BFB Lovebirds, we are deeply dedicated to the breeding and nurturing of two special Lovebird species: Fisher’s Lovebirds and Black Masked Lovebirds. Our passion and focus on these varieties stem from their exceptional characteristics as companions, making them ideal for families, including those with children.
Both species are celebrated for their friendly, social natures. They are particularly suitable for children, offering manageable care and the joy of a pet’s companionship. The hand-rearing process we employ ensures each baby Lovebird is tame, used to human interaction, and ready to integrate into their new homes seamlessly. At about 7 weeks old, our Lovebirds are fully weaned and flying, marking them ready for adoption.

This not only facilitates a stronger bond between Lovebirds and their future families but also allows us to monitor each bird’s health and nutritional needs closely.
